Daniel Gonzalez-Bocaz is a Chilean artist licenciado in arts, sciences and communication and with masters in film directing from Uniacc in Santiago, Chile.
He has worked and colaborated with several artists in New York City independent films, art shows, music and as a Chef apprentice with Chef Sam Talbot after shooting a Tv show pilot at one of his Restaurants.
Gonzalez-Bocaz’ vision is at its very essence reactive. His paintings, merchandising and food displays proffer imagery like a dermis that exposes, yet protects, its subject. It is within the natural dichotomy which his work evokes that we realize we are in the presence of a cartography of stimuli. Colors and shapes burst forth like chemical reactions and press for space within the frame, a frame which is at the same time instinctually reproduced to assert control and order over his internal dialogue.
